NAI Alliance broker Mark Keyzers of the Retail division represented Reno Coliseum Meadows and US Auto Title Loan in the leasing of 900 square feet in the Coliseum Meadows Shopping Center. The Coliseum Meadows Shopping Center is located at the south-east corner of Kietzke Lane and S. Virginia Street in Reno, Nevada. US Auto Title Loan will be located at 4934 S. Virginia Street.

Third Quarter Retail Statistics

NAI Alliance Retail Division recently completed their market survey of the Reno Sparks Market for the third quarter of 2008. Excluding regional malls, their findings show total rentable square footage at 12,004,070 and total vacant square feet at 1,221,830. This gives an overall vacancy rate of 10.18% and line shop vacancy of 15.20%. This is the highest overall vacancy level since 1993 when the market was recovering from a previous recession.

Total Net Absorption for the second quarter is -21,231 square feet and the total Gross Absorption is 155,229 square feet. It is expected that vacancy rates will climb in the fourth quarter as several large retailers have announced their intention to close local stores.

Staples Comes to Northwest Reno

E-Source Solutions, a sales and service provider for EBT CT scanners will locate to northern Nevada. They will occupy approximately 25,672± square feet within the Sierra Commerce Park in Sparks, Nevada.

"We are seeing more and more companies from California paying attention to our business friendly climate in Nevada." says Dan Oster, Senior Associate of the Industrial Team at NAI Alliance. "With ample vacancy in the market, we are able to provide them with several viable options."
