Blue Kangaroo, the leading childcare operator in all of Northern Nevada has successfully completed the sale and leaseback of its Northwest Reno location, 4820 Summit Ridge Drive, Reno, NV 89523. The owners of Blue Kangaroo will continue to operate the childcare facility on a long-term lease with absolutely no change in the operations. The sale of the facility will allow the owners to focus more of their time and resources on providing the absolute highest quality childcare facility possible. Blue Kangaroo was voted as the “Top Childcare Center” by the Reno Gazette Journal’s “Best of 2008” readers poll and “Best Learning Center” for seven years in a row by Consumer Business Review. The purchaser is an affiliate of John Dermody Ventures, a locally based real estate investment firm with a focus on high quality, long-term real estate investment. This transaction was a strong fit for both Blue Kangaroo and John Dermody Ventures because these two well respected Reno based companies take a long-term view with respect to their business operations. The sale and leaseback was facilitated by Scott Beggs and Chris Shanks of the NAI Alliance Investment Team and Kelly Bland of the NAI Alliance Retail Team.
